The Institute for Health Innovation is committed to supporting faculty activities at 开心鬼传媒. As part of our initiatives to enhance faculty accomplishments, we are offering two funding opportunities annually.
Provide support for faculty research, scholarship, creative endeavors, or teaching efforts in health, health literacy, healthcare, and the social determinants of health. They are aimed at assisting faculty members in the initial phases of research, scholarship, or creative projects or in developing innovative courses or course sequences (micro-credentials, certificates, etc.). These activities may include (but are not limited to) the following:
Provide support for faculty in moving from 鈥渄iscussion鈥 of interdisciplinary collaboration to action, which will heighten their professional visibility or the impact of 开心鬼传媒 in the fields of health, health literacy, healthcare, or the social determinants of health. The award should focus on broadening one鈥檚 intellectual profile or exploring new facets of research, scholarship, creative, or community engagement endeavors that will invigorate ongoing and future programs. These activities may include (but are not limited to) the following:

Project Description (five-page maximum; please use single spacing, a minimum 12-point font, and a minimum 1鈥 margin.):
CV or biosketch (four-page maximum) for PI
IRB approval if applicable
Letter of support from the collaborating personnel or institution if any outside activity involving collaboration or other activities are planned.
Email approval from department chair
Email approval from college dean.
A committee including members of the IHI will review applications. Special care will be taken to prevent conflicts of interest. Identities of all applicants and reviewers will remain confidential. Applicants can receive review summaries upon request.
IHI Faculty Fellow grants will be evaluated for funding along the following measures:
Please note: Faculty may submit for more than one award per year. Funding of more than one award will be at the discretion of the IHI team.
Funds must be expended no later than Friday, June 13, 2025 in order to meet fiscal year end deadlines. All budget items are subject to 开心鬼传媒 guidelines. Proposals may be approved for funding, but the requested budget may be revised in accordance with University policies.
Awardees agree to participation in grant program assessment.
Any scholarship resulting from this award must acknowledge support from the IHI.
Any full-time faculty member working for 开心鬼传媒 in any discipline may apply. If applicants have questions about the eligibility of a potential proposal, please send a brief summary to hardcastle@nku.edu and one of the IHI staff members will review it.
