The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) will host a Business Elevator Pitch Contest - open to all ¿ªÐÄ¹í´«Ã½ undergraduates, with the 1st round taking place on Friday, February 16th.  We have two tracks students can compete in:  

1. Business ideas (ideas students have for businesses) 

2. Businesses already making revenue (businesses that students run that are already making money).   

Students will apply online to compete by Monday, February 12th.  Students who apply will create a 2- minute pitch to present their business/business idea in person in the 1st round on Friday, February 16th at a scheduled time between 10:00 am - 4:30 pm.  The top teams in each category of that round will be selected to present in person in the final round for the opportunity to win prize money!!! The final round will take place on Friday, February 23rd between 2:00 - 4:00 pm.   

Prize Awards: 

  • Developed Businesses (businesses already making money)
    -1st place-  $2,000
    -2nd place- $1,000
    -3rd place- $500 
  • Business Ideas (ideas students have for a business)
    -1st place- $1,000
    -2nd place- $500
    -3rd place- $250 

Program Details

Who: This is open to all undergraduate ¿ªÐÄ¹í´«Ã½ students. 

What: Students will create and give a 2-minute business elevator pitch (maximum 2 minutes).  They can pitch an existing business that is making money (revenue) or they can pitch an idea for a business (this business does not need to exist, it can just be an idea).  Students need to decide what information they want to share in the 2 minutes they have been allotted to give their elevator pitch. 

When: Need to . by the end of the day, Monday, February 12th.  The 1st Round will be in-person Friday, February 16th between 10:00 am - 4:30 pm (students will sign up for a time slot on a first-come, first-served basis for that date after they apply).  If they qualify for the Final Round, students will need to be available on Friday, February 23rd between 2:00 - 4:00 pm.

Where:  Students need to apply online by the deadline and must be available to pitch in person.
