开心鬼传媒鈥檚 School of the Arts is proud to present the iconic play 鈥淒r. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde.鈥 This chilling play falls right in the most spooky season of the year, only adding to the already massive hype to see this show. Here is what the show鈥檚 lead, Hunter Broyles, had to say about what audiences are going to experience.
鈥淔rom the start, this show has been so interesting to me,鈥 Broyles said. 鈥淭he callback wasn鈥檛 even reading sections of the show; we did a lot of improv and movement work. There is a lot of that present in the show, and it鈥檚 one of my favorite aspects. The physicality audiences will see will blow them away.鈥 Broyles went on to explain that he does not fully play both Jekyll and Hyde, as one might expect. All the remaining members of the cast are Hyde at one point or another, visually represented by a hat and a cane. He raved about the ensemble-heavy aspect of the show, expressing that audiences will love it.
鈥淭he show is done in a three-quarter thrust, so essentially in the round,鈥 Broyles explained. 鈥淪o, depending on where you鈥檙e sitting, you get a somewhat different show in terms of light and sound. I think this is a really cool part of how the show is being done, and helps to keep things fresh for the cast and audiences.鈥
This eerie, spooky tale of a man fighting his darkest demons, both in himself and the world around him, is sure to leave audiences with goosebumps. 鈥淒r. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde鈥 opens this Thursday, October 27, and runs through November 6 in the Stauss Theatre. Buy your tickets at nku.edu/tickets. Come out and support the arts!
